MAYHEM GÖR HISTORISKT 40 ÅRSJUBILEUM TILLSAMMANS MED MORBID

Legendary black metal pioneers Mayhem are set to conclude the European leg of their monumental 40th anniversary series with a special show in Stockholm on December 15, 2024, at Fållan. In a historic and symbolic reunion, Mayhem will be joined by Morbid, paying homage to the roots of black metal and their intertwined legacy. Tickets will be made available on Friday, October 25.

Mayhem’s 40th anniversary show promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fans, featuring a setlist that spans their illustrious career, from their groundbreaking debut EP, ’Deathcrush,’ to present day. This concert will celebrate the band’s legacy over four decades of musical evolution and boundary-pushing performances.

Formed in 1984 in Norway, Mayhem has been at the forefront of the black metal scene, known for their controversial history, groundbreaking music, and unparalleled live performances. Over the years, they have cemented their status as one of the most influential bands in extreme metal, continually pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Morbid’s involvement in the Swedish extreme metal scene is indelibly linked with the early history of Mayhem. The late Per ”Dead” Yngve Ohlin, iconic vocalist of Mayhem, was first introduced to the black metal world through his work with Morbid in Stockholm, cementing the connection between the two bands. His move to Norway to join Mayhem in 1988 marked a significant chapter in black metal history, shaping the genre for decades to come.

Now, as Mayhem reflects on their 40 year legacy, they celebrate their triumphs over tribulations and tragedy with a-never-before-seen performance, featuring their biggest production yet. When this seminal year concludes, Mayhem will lay this special production to rest, so this is the only time fans will have to experience this celebratory and rare era of the godfathers of black metal.
